This project is the work of Karan Checker, an entrepreneur and startup ecosystem builder who runs StartupElves.com. The idea behind स्टार्टअप.com came from a simple frustration: the information Indian founders need — government schemes, funding sources, incubators, unsolved problems — exists, but it's scattered across hundreds of government PDFs, outdated blog posts, and gated databases. No one had bothered to put it all in one place.
Karan has spent years in the Indian startup trenches — building products, advising early-stage companies, and connecting founders with the resources they need. He's seen firsthand how many promising startups stall not because the idea was bad, but because the founder didn't know about a grant they qualified for, or an incubator two kilometres away, or an investor who was specifically looking for their exact thesis.
This site is his attempt to fix that information asymmetry — one page at a time. It's not a commercial venture. It's a resource built for the ecosystem.
